The word sakeidian is derived from the Yanu words for six ("sak") and finger ("eid"), literally meaning six-fingered one, or hexadactylian. Not much else is known about their appearance, other than the fact that they possess tall ears, vestigial whiskers, and are bipedal in stature, as well as being exceptionally furry, an appearance that is sure to startle some humans. Despite the lack of knowledge of what they look like, it is known that they possess excellent eyesight.
Sakeidians are, in general, an incredibly social and intelligent species, possessing the ability to create and utilize tools as well as communicate in complex written and oral language. Additionally, they almost ubiquitously form complex, diverse social hierarchies wherever they are found. On the right is a collection of drawings discovered in several caves across western Timia, hypothesized to have been drawn by early sakeidians almost immediately after they crossed the narrow sea, illustrating their immense drive for creativity.
